BOX/12 Laminaria is a seagrown plant that may have "Viable" spores present even after processing with ethylene oxide. A suitable antibiotic must be administered with each insertion of a Laminaria tent. Laminaria tents can be considered for use whenever it is desirable to dilate the cervical canal.
